Santa Willie has completed several Santa Claus training schools, is fully insured and has a current background check available. Wonderful Santa!

Santa Willie was wonderful to the kids that came to see him. He sat in a chair and talked to them about all the reindeer - he was so gentle and kind. Then he was walking around and interacting with them and my boys are STILL geeked about it. 10/10

What to expect

The home visit or private party usually lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour for individual family or group parties, depending on the number of children involved. Santa Willie will come to your residence or business in full Santa attire. During Santa Willie's visit, he may read "The Night Before Christmas" or lead children in singing holiday songs and other activities. Santa Willie will pose for pictures with each child, siblings and family portraits. Santa Willie will ensure your children have an enjoyable and memorable experience by incorporating information provided before the visit about each child. Santa Willie can pass out gifts supplied by the host and left on the porch or garage if requested. Once gift's are opened and the children's interest's begin to shift it will be time for Santa to depart.

Santa Willie is available for corporate events, parades, tree-lighting ceremonies, and appearances at retail locations, home-owner's association parties, restaurant locations or charity events. Session lengths will vary depending on the need. Santa Willie will arrange with the host for a grand entrance and meet and greet the guests entertaining them with stories of the North Pole. The real white bearded, professional Santa will add that special touch to your holiday event.

About

After working thirty-nine years in the corporate world I retired from AT&T to pursue a passion for sharing Christmas Joy, Hope and Love through the persona of Santa Willie. I live in Marietta, Georgia a suburb of Atlanta and welcome Santa requests from the Metro Atlanta area. I love children of all ages. Nothing brings me more happiness then seeing your children experience the magic and joy of visiting with Santa Claus. That is why I do what I do. Some of my clients are the cities of Roswell and John's Creek, Burn Boot Camp, Ali Winston Photography, Amber Cloy Photography, The Rustic Market, Delta Airlines, West Milford Farms, Let's Eat And Drink Hospitality Group and numerous churches, HOAs and private homes.

Training
Santa Willie has completed the Santa Claus Conservatory training curriculum, the Expert Village Video Series "How to Be a Santa Claus" by Pat Louis, the Northstar Santa School training, Legendary Santa University, Northern Lights Santa Academy and attended "Story-Telling as Santa Claus" and "Working with Photo Studios as Santa Claus" seminars by Santa Ed Taylor.

Associations
Santa Willie is a member of The International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas, North Georgia Real Bearded Santas, Peachtree Santas, ClausNet, Nationwide Santas, Hire Santa and Gig Salad. My beard is registered with the National Beard Registry (#7677). Santa Willie is also a guest instructor at the Northern Lights Santa Academy.

Santa Willie was selected as the 2019 and 2021 Winner for the Best of Marietta Awards in the category of Entertainer. I was profiled in the VoyageATL magazine (January 2017 issue).

HAVE YOUR CAMERA READY
Be sure to have all cameras, camcorders and fresh batteries necessary to take the photos you want.
SANTA’S ARRIVAL
Ideally, Santa’s arrival should be out of view of your guests. If you have gifts for Santa to pass out then work out a place for Santa to transfer them to his bag such as a porch, garage or car. Santa's suit is quite warm, so a parking place close to your event will keep Santa cool.
GIFTS FROM SANTA
Santa will be glad to hand out one bag of presents you provide (no more than can fit in a 30 gallon trash bag) for children or guests. Gifts should be labeled in a very legible handwriting, and if there are any challenging pronunciations they should be communicated to Santa before the event. It is a good idea to write the names on the wrapping paper instead of tags since they tend to fall off in Santa’s sack. It might be a good idea to have a couple of extra presents on hand as well, in case of an unplanned extra guest.
HAVE A SPECIAL CHAIR FOR SANTA
Santa needs a chair that is sturdy and stable that will support him plus a child on each knee. A good, sturdy straight-back dining chair with no arms works well. Place the chair in a good setting and your photos will have more impact. Leave a foot or two between the chair and the tree or wall. This will allow room for others to gather around and behind Santa’s chair for group photos. For the best pictures, adjust overhead lighting and place table or floor lamps to adequately light the scene. Flashes should only be used to “fill” not to light the scene.
SANTA STAYS IN CHARACTER
This is very important and something most adults don't thinking about. During your visit I am Santa Claus. Please don’t ask questions about when I started playing Santa or where did I get my costumes. It’s very important that you treat me as Santa Claus and not as someone that plays Santa Claus. This will help keep the wonder of Christmas alive for your children and others.
GATHER BEFORE SANTA ENTERS
Timing is everything. You and Santa will coordinate a call when he is five minutes away from arriving. That’s your cue to have someone go outside to meet Santa, and for you to get everyone together and ready for the visit. If Santa is to bring in presents, the person meeting him can help him fill his bag. Then, at the right moment, Santa can join the festivities.
SANTA’S PRIORITIES
Santa wants to give his full attention to each child, so if you have a large group of children to see Santa, a person assigned to be Santa’s helper can help to ease nerves and pose the children for photos. Some teenagers may think they are too old to have a photo with Santa. Santa can stand up for a “buddy” photo.
CONCLUSION OF THE VISIT
Santa always likes to end his visit with a reading of ‘T'was the Night Before Christmas." Know that at the end of the story Santa will make his exit wishing a “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night”.
