Overview

I do not play Santa, I am Santa Klaus. I have been Santa for 55 years. I have done malls, corporate events, private parties, family home visits, and non-profit events.
I have worked with kids and adults with special needs. I also do events for foster children. It has also been my privilege to work with our military.
Are you looking for a Santa for sales videos or photos? I have done those for various businesses. As an added bonus, I've been told I can sing. I can add group singing, karaoke, or solo singing to a visit.

What to expect

How can I be of service to you to make your event the best?

The Entrance:
I have flown in in a helicopter, ridden on fire trucks, stood in the back of a Humvee, sat in various convertibles, from VW Bugs to Corvettes.
I have walked into a room where someone was talking (but was aware) and start singing Santa Klaus is Coming to Town. I have walked inside a circle of singers hiding me and then fanning out.
I may have been there first and already sitting on a stage or in a sleigh.
I will pretty much try anything as long as it won't kill me, that would be embarrassing for you.

The Visit:
I would like a little knowledge of what is expected.
Are you taking individual photos with Santa seated in a particular place the entire time?
Will Santa be handing anything out? Candy Canes, Toys, Stuffies, etc.
If handing out presents are they individual? Any boy or girl, the child's name, multiple gifts or gift bags
Is Santa expected to mingle at anytime? This is not a problem I just want to know what you expect. You may not have time for that if you are following a program. You may expect that and that is okay but let me know. I have walked in from the back of some places and mingled my way to the front.
Would you like for me to toss out candy as I come in?
Singing? I enjoy singing with the kids if you would like me to. Simple Christmas songs like Rudolph and Jingle Bells.

The Departure:
This can be awkward at times. Do I just walk off the back stage? Come off the stage and mingle as I leave or just walk the aisle out the door?
If I came in on a vehicle will I leave the same way?
Would you prefer I wait until the guest have left before I leave?

About

I started being Santa at 12 years old. I had friends whose family had a store in a strip mall. They were responsible for providing the Santa for the mall. Something happened to the man who was their Santa and they needed a replacement right away. They looked at me, being an overweight kid and said I could do it. The suit was loose and a little to long but it worked. I was their Santa for about 5 years.
During my second year I was approached by a lady who had a young son with leukemia. He was not going to live long and asked if I could come and be Santa for him. I used the suit I had but I'll never forget, she made me a beard out of cotton balls that went to my knees. This was the start of my heart being Santa.
I've done many malls since that time, big events and parties. I love making kids feel special and smile. Concerning my heart being Santa, I notice the child that has a problem. It may be a physical or mental disability, it could possibly be a child that has gone through experiences that aren't mentioned but I can pick up on. A child that just needs a hug or someone to tell them they are loved.
I no longer do malls on a regular basis. I may fill in at times if needed. What I mostly do are foster children. I have events that have 300-500 foster kids at them. I am Santa to about 75 adults with disabilities. I have made personal visits to homes of children that have various disabilities. This is my heart.
As a Santa that has lived on a farm I have no problem taking photos with animals. One of my favorites was at a pet photo event and a lady brought in 4 boxers.
I am opened up to almost anything. If you have a situation or a special event that you may think is different, please contact me and we can discuss your need.
Ho-Ho-Hope to hear from you.

Additional booking notes

Seating is important. Please do not provide a recliner. It may be comfortable but it is hard to hold kids in it. Also if there are multiples, more than 1 child or entire families recliners are hard to accommodate everyone.
A two seat situation is usually the best, a love seat or small pew, two or three office chairs covered with a throw, blanket, or sheet.
If using a sleigh make sure that is easily accessible. If the sides need to be climbed over that can be a problem. What is the weight limit? Santa is a big guy and if you add other big kids or adults, will it hold.

Is the seat padded? Santa will sometimes need to sit for hours. How is the seat going to feel?

When I come to a program it is just me.
If you are doing photos you will need to provide the means. A photographer or photo booth type of set-up.

I can provide a backdrop for a fee and time allowance to set it up.

If you are planning on doing Santa Karaoke I have a small PA and can hook up to a TV for a fee and time allowance to set it up.
