Santa sings, shares a story or two and is happy to hand out gifts that you provide him on arrival. And of course take lots of pictures! But be sure to get everyone together, before Santa enters as timing is everything. If everyone is scattered around the house or office, you loose valuable moments.
Have a sturdy chair for Santa to sit in. Folding chairs and low chairs (the ones you sink into) are not good. Santa usually likes a chair that is sturdy and stable. A good straight-back dining chair works well. Place the Chair near your Christmas tree or in a holiday setting but please make sure it's not too warm. Santa has a very warm suit on!
Think about photos with everyone. Yes, some teenagers will shy away or think it is too childish, to have a photo with Santa. Don’t worry; Santa can stand up for a “buddy” photo. What about grandma and grandpa? Take a photo with Santa and Grandma Hugging. And, nothing is more fun than having Santa ask Grandpa if he’s been a good boy! I promise, Your family and friends will enjoy reliving the memories for years to come!

Santa Kevin Is Kevin Donelan of Athol, Ma. Kevin is a retired police officer for the Town of Orange Police Department in Orange, MA. He has worked as a full time patrolman on the night shift since 1993 having several opportunities to escort Santa and his sleigh through the streets of Orange over the years.
"As a child I always enjoyed the Christmas season with My family and one of the greatest traditions was the Christmas Eve visit of Santa to Our home in Orange,MA. Santa left a lasting impression of the joy of Christmas with Me especially and eventually drove my desire to bring that joy to children Myself. In early 2010 I decided that I would offer My services to families in the North Quabbin region by making public and private appearances as Santa. This has spread throughout central and western Mass. and now I, Santa Kevin, am dedicated to bringing Christmas cheer and good will to all who I encounter as a descendant of St. Nicolas. My pledge to YOU is to provide you with a quality Santa with every visit, every time!"

Handy hints for your basic home Santa visit!
Santa's visit will be for approximately 15 to 30 minutes, depending upon how
many are in attendance and interaction.
Santa will only be there for a set amount of time so If everyone
is scattered around the house or office, you will lose valuable moments.
He will call or text  you when he is minutes away
from arriving. That's your cue to get everyone together.
 If Santa is to bring in presents, the person meeting him can help fill Santa's bag. Then, at the right moment, Santa will
make his grand entrance.

PARKING: Reserve a special parking place for Santa.  It should be as close as possible to your event.  And remember, he's wearing a heavy velvet suit that gets very hot (even in December).  Try not to put
him  too near a stove or fireplace

SEATING:   Have a sturdy chair for Santa to sit in.  Folding chairs and low

Your photos will have more impact when the background has a festive look.
Leave enough room around Santa for group shots.

GIFTS:  Have your gifts ready.   Santa can carry in one bag of presents for children or guests.  They should be well labeled. We suggest a large black marking pen and writing directly on the gift, as tags can easily fall off.

PAYMENT: If there is a balance or payment due to Santa, place it inside a Christmas card or envelope.  It never looks appropriate when someone gives cash to Santa.  As Santa is departing, hand him the envelope as he is leaving.
If we follow these
basic guidelines we can have a successful visit from Santa.
