Santa Karl and Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Claus and I graduated from the 2024 Charles W. Howard Santa School in Midland, Michigan and began spreading Christmas cheer at holiday concerts, pub crawls, farmer's markets, office parties, and photography sessions. Pre-visit communications allow us to customize your experience to make our Santa and Mrs. Claus visit special.

For home visits, we might consider a grand entrance, story time like the "Twas the Night Before Christmas" poem, Christmas songs like "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".

If your little ones are up for it, we can have them individually talk with Santa to hear their Christmas wishes and answer questions about he North Pole, the Reindeer, and the Elves. If desired, we can hand out some presents and/or candy canes.

Of course we want to give a chance for pictures, so we will pose as you and/or a professional photographer is most suitable for you. We can bring a tripod with cell phone holder so everyone can be in the shot that's sure to make next year's Christmas card!

We'll finish with a rousing "We Wish Your a Merry Christmas" song and make our exit.

For larger events where groups of kids might line up to see Santa, we'll speak with each child about their Christmas wishes and questions, and can leave each with a small gift (either provided by the event host or at extra cost). Again, we will reach out to ensure expectations are met.

Walking down the street in my college years, someone rolled down their car window and yelled out "Kris Kringle" to me. Having grown up in Germany, I knew nothing of the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials that American kids in the 70s grew up with. As such, this encounter puzzled me for years, until...

Fast forward to my adult life with an American-born wife and our growing family of two little kids: When "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" came on and I saw the Kris Kringle character as a young man, I instantly understood. With strawberry blond hair and a red beard, I could see the resemblance.

I had heard about the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School right across the state in Midland, Michigan, so I proposed to my wife that we both attend as Santa and Mrs. Claus students. As of October 12, 2024, we are now official graduates!

Our pre-visit discussion will allow us to work together to make sure our visit goes off without a hitch. We'll need to discuss details like whether we make a grand entrance, are already at the event when the guests arrive, if there's a chair for Santa, is the event indoors or outdoors (Santa gets warm sitting in a heated space with his heavy coat on), if we have a place to get into costume, etc.
