What to expect

Santa Jay arrives with a one-of-a-kind, handwritten Christmas storybook, nearly two feet tall and fourteen inches wide. With the appearance of a book that has been passed down and treasured for centuries, its pages hold classic and original Christmas tales. Children and adults gather close as Santa unlocks the book, opens the cover, and invites them into the story, making room for their questions, laughter, and imagination.

A 30-minute virtual visit is $65. In-person visits start at $125 for 30 minutes on standard dates. Your quote will reflect the visit length, date, location, and event requirements. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day have separate holiday rates.

There is time for Christmas wishes, questions about life at the North Pole, and photographs with the people you love. Each child is welcome to participate at their own pace. Some children have so much they want to share with Santa. Others prefer a quiet greeting beside a parent or caregiver. Santa takes care to welcome both.

Before your visit, we’ll discuss your guests and plan activities that fit comfortably within the scheduled appearance. If you would like Santa to distribute gifts, we can arrange that beforehand using presents you provide. Santa Jay is fluent in American Sign Language. Please share any communication preferences or practical accommodations that would help your guests enjoy the visit.

Whether Santa joins your family at home or welcomes guests at a larger gathering, his visit offers time to sit together, share a story, and enjoy the wonder of Christmas.

About

I’m Santa Jay, Keeper of Christmas Stories, a professional Santa Claus and storyteller based in Central Texas.

I am a Marine Corps and Coast Guard veteran, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a pastor, and a member of Lone Star Santas. My work with children and families shapes the patience, care, and personal attention I bring to each appearance. I am also fluent in American Sign Language and welcome guests’ communication preferences.

Personal and in-home visits are at the heart of my work. With my one-of-a-kind, handwritten Christmas storybook, I share classic and original tales, listen to Christmas wishes, and invite families to enjoy time together. I also appear at schools, churches, community celebrations, and corporate gatherings.

My hope is that a visit with Santa Jay becomes a Christmas tradition your family looks forward to each year.

Preparing for Your Visit with Santa Jay

Before your visit, we’ll discuss your family or event, plan the activities, and coordinate Santa’s arrival. A little preparation leaves more time to enjoy the stories, conversation, and photographs.

1. Arrange nearby parking.
Please reserve a convenient parking space, preferably away from guests’ view, and designate an adult to coordinate Santa’s entrance.

2. Prepare a storytelling space.
Provide a sturdy chair without arms and room for Santa’s one-of-a-kind, handwritten Christmas storybook, nearly two feet tall and fourteen inches wide. Gather the children in front of Santa, close enough to see the pages and join in comfortably. Leave enough open space for families to gather beside Santa for photographs.

3. Have your cameras ready.
Charge phones and cameras beforehand. Choose a well-lit setting, avoiding bright windows directly behind Santa and your guests. A Christmas tree or an unlit fireplace can make a lovely backdrop.

4. Coordinate gifts beforehand.
If gift distribution is part of your visit, label each present clearly with the recipient’s name. Have an adult available to identify recipients and help with gifts. Arrange gift placement and carrying with Santa in advance, especially for larger or heavier items.

5. Gather your guests.
Have everyone present before Santa’s entrance. We’ll agree beforehand on how to communicate when Santa is approaching.

6. Share communication and accessibility preferences.
Please share names and pronunciations needed for the visit, along with any communication preferences or practical accommodations that would help guests participate comfortably. Santa Jay is fluent in American Sign Language. Children may approach at their own pace or remain beside a parent or caregiver.

7. Keep the visit area smoke-free.
Please provide a smoke-free space with clear walkways around the storytelling and photograph area.

For Larger Gatherings and Special Events

Arrange breaks in advance.
For extended appearances, we’ll agree on a break schedule beforehand. Please provide a private resting area, drinking water, and access to a restroom away from guests.

Designate an event helper.
Choose an adult to guide the line, coordinate photographs, and gather guests for storytelling.

Plan for clear sight and sound.
Arrange the audience so guests can see Santa and his storybook. Discuss background noise and any microphone needs before the event.

Keep wipes available.
Parents and caregivers can help children clean sticky hands and faces before photographs or touching shared items.

Please complete booking and payment arrangements through GigSalad before the event so everyone can enjoy the visit without interruption. You’re welcome to message me here with questions as we prepare.
