With a lifetime of performance experience, Santa Claus Layne brings the wonder of Christmas to life with passion, warmth, and authenticity. A seasoned entertainer with more than 30 years in living history, he has appeared in documentaries and film projects and previously served as Associate Director for the St. Peters, Missouri School of the Arts.

Following a distinguished career at Boeing, Layne dedicated ten years as an adjunct professor of history at Missouri Baptist University. He is now a full-time Christian minister with 26 years of preaching and teaching experience, carrying the spirit of Christmas not only through performance, but through faith and heartfelt connection.

From an early age, music and theatre have played a central role in his life. He served as President of his high school Concert Choir and performed with the Lindenwood Madrigals. Most recently, Layne appeared on Christmas night during the Amazon Prime Thursday Night Football Post-Game Show at Arrowhead Stadium. His holiday engagements also include participation in the Warrenton, Missouri Festival of Lights Parade, visits to senior care facilities, in-home daycares, and numerous personal home appearances.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Layne served as an Operations Specialist and Anti-Submarine Air Controller, traveling to 36 countries during his service. He is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His performance background further includes traditional and historic dance with the St. Louis Royal Scottish Country Dancers and the Royal Lancers Dance Troupe. He continues his passion for storytelling through performance in the New Melle Passion Play.

Beyond the red suit, Santa Claus Layne has led living history organizations at both local and national levels, including service as a Lieutenant Colonel of a renowned battalion. He is devoted to his wife, children, and eight grandchildren, who inspire him daily to share joy and create meaningful, magical moments for families everywhere.
