About San Miguel Perez
San Miguel Perez is a Cuban American artist based in Los Angeles and the creative force behind San Miguel Band. He leads a talented ensemble of musicians from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Cuba, and Venezuela, bringing authentic Latin, Cuban, and Mexican culture to life.
As a singer, guitarist, percussionist, composer, and producer, San Miguel is a master of the Cuban tres. His musical journey began at age 8 in Bayamo, Cuba when he began his professional studies. After graduating from the Music Conservatory of Matanzas, San Miguel went on to perform with New Generation of the famous Buena Vista Social Club and the famous Salsa orchestra Adalberto Alvarez y Su Son. He’s won multiple awards, including two Cubadisco Awards and a Grammy nomination.
