About
I am a harpist based in Durham, NC, where I serve as Principal Harpist with the Durham Symphony Orchestra. I am also a member of Triangle Wind Ensemble, and frequently perform solo at the Umstead Hotel for their afternoon tea service.
I hold a Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where I also studied harp with Laura Byrne. Previously, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and studied harp performance abroad at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Classically trained, I'm comfortable in genres ranging from folk traditions to contemporary pop. I am available to play for a variety of events, including weddings, private parties, and religious services. I can't wait to work together!

Set list
What kind of music can be played on the harp? You’d be surprised! While most clients request a mix of classical and light popular music, the harp is a very versatile instrument. Recently, I’ve taken special requests from Bollywood classics to R&B songs to Taylor Swift hits.
Here are just a few of my most commonly requested tunes:
CLASSICAL
Canon in D - Pachelbel
Prelude No. 1 in C from The Well-Tempered Klavier - Bach
Aria ("Lascia ch'io pianga") from Almira - Handel
Hornpipe from Water Music - Handel
Andante Allegro from Harp Concerto in B-Flat - Handel
Air (on the "G" String) - Bach
Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin ("Here Comes the Bride") - Wagner
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring - Bach
"Ode to Joy" from Symphony No. 9 - Beethoven
Promenade from Pictures at an Exhibition - Mussorgsky
Rondeau (theme from Masterpiece Theatre) - Mouret
Clair de Lune - Debussy
Trumpet Voluntary - Clarke
Wedding March from Midsummer Night's Dream - Mendelssohn
Meditation from Thais - Massanet
Ave Maria - Schubert
The Nightingale - Deborah Henson-Conant
Contemplation – Henriette Renie
POP/CONTEMPORARY
Halo - Beyonce
Theme from Disney-Pixar's Up - Michael Giaccchino
Beneath Your Beautiful - Emeli Sandé and Labrinth
"Falling Slowly" from Once - Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglov
Beautiful Day - U2
A Thousand Years (from Twilight: Breaking Dawn) - Christina Perri
Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers
Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen
Beauty and the Beast - Alan Menken (Disney)
"A Whole New World" from Aladdin - Alan Menken (Disney)
What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
"You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel - Rodgers/Hammerstein
"Some Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific - Rodgers/Hammerstein
Happy Together - The Turtles
In My Life - The Beatles
Wildest Dreams - Taylor Swift
Enchanted - Taylor Swift
Rainbow Connection – The Muppets
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from Wizard of Oz - Harold Arlen
Remember, this list is just a jumping off point! I'm happy to take special requests - and equally happy to pick out suitable music myself, if you'd rather be hands-off.
