I'm a New Orleans based jazz and pop piano vocalist with extensive performing experience. I play music that encompasses the great American songbook; from Cole Porter to Radiohead, Bob Dylan to the John Mayer, Ray Charles to Frank Sinatra. I've appeared on American Idol XV, been a finalist in the Independent Music Awards, opened for Marc Roberts of O.A.R., played for former President Clinton and can be seen performing regularly around New Orleans.
Great performer! Music grooved, made the party festive. On time and fairly priced, dressed well, easy to deal with. He really wanted to please us.

Denver-born Sam Kuslan, pianist, began his study of piano at the age of four in Shanghai, where his father then worked. Sam's early instruction was in classical piano, training he continued at New Haven's Neighborhood School of Music upon his family's return to the U.S. His preference for jazz piano expressed itself several years before he turned twenty-two this past May, and his studies in this art form began with Kalim Zarif at the Neighborhood and now studies with Hal Galper. Sam is also a serious student of drums and plays guitar with aplomb, though having begun it only this year. Oscar Peterson, Hank Jones and Fats Waller are among his favorite musicians. With his season-opening recital, Sam kicked off the prestigious Young People's Performance Series in 2008 at New York City's Steinway Hall. He attended Loyola University in New Orleans and graduated in 2015. He is now a full-time musician local to New Orleans. He performs regularly with Antoine Diel, Lena Prima, Kaye Doiron, Geoff Clapp among many others. He is currently in the process of recording his debut album featuring his own compositions. He is a regular performer at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival and has been featured on American Idol XV.
Sam has played with greats such as, Curtis Fuller (Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers), Lou Donaldson (Thelonious Monk/Milt Jackson), Harold Danko (Chet Baker), Marc Roberge (Of A Revolution/O.A.R.), and many many more.
