Before a photo shoot, my client(s) and I will plan for a location and a time to meet. We will also brainstorm ideas on a theme-based photo shoot if that's what they are seeking. I will share watermarked samples of my work so they can see what my photo style is like or get ideas from a past shoot that I have done. Topics like what to wear, what props will be used, and other photo shoot goals will be discussed.

During a shoot, I create a comfortable environment for my clients. I usually play music, converse with them, or try to make them laugh. I give them tips on how to pose and how to create authentic facial expressions. A typical shoot can last from 1-3 hours, depending on how many photos are needed.

After the shoot, I sort out through the photos and edit the best ones. I will either provide a flash drive with all of the photos in it or send them through google docs.

I have been shooting portraits for special events for six years. I started studying photography since my sophomore year in high school. I am now a senior in college, obtaining my BS in Communicative Sciences & Disorders at NYU. Being born and raised on the island of Hawaii, I always had a yearning to capture the island's beauty and people. Since the birth of my passion for photography, I have shot graduation, engagement, wedding, sports, fashion, and travel portraits for an array of clients. My type of photography is directed towards those who want an enhanced, honest, and not overly-edited perception of themselves.

I am constantly traveling. Throughout the year, I either live in Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or New York City. I am currently based in the southern California area. When I'm not shooting, I'm usually writing music, reading, practicing yoga, or driving all around and exploring beyond the area I live in.
