Sahara Nights

Expect that your bellydancer will be a surprise. After arriving discreetly at the venue she will come in with a veil or wings or some other colourful prop and grab your guests ATTENTION. There will be upbeat Arabic Music and dancing that can't help but turn everyone's head.
Depending on the set, after the entrance song the dancer will use a sword, wine glasses or other balancing act to showcase the slow and sinuous movements of bellydance and keep your guests on the edge of their seat.
Finishing off the entrance, the dancer may do a short drum dance which brings the energy back up and signals the beginning of audience participation. The dancer will get members of the audience up to dance with her. We will engage with the guest of honour, if desired. Don't worry, we are practiced in the art of sharing joy and making people comfortable. Sahara Nights loves to share our energy with audiences and never forces guests to get up to dance. But don't be surprised if you discover that the rhythm gets you up on the dance floor!

Leslie and Heidi have been performing Belly dance in and around the Vancouver and Surrey Area for over 10 years. They are amongst the most sought after entertainment acts for Weddings and corporate events in the Lower Mainland. With extensive stage experience, the duo appeared on Canada's Got Talent in 2014, making it to the Showcase round with a stunning performance of Gama Gomall's Mohammad Ali Street drum solo.
Leslie is an artistic director of Sahara Nights and won the award for best choreography duo bellydance at La Danze Orientale in Washington 2016. In addition to this she is one of the principal dancers of Vancouver's Samba Fusion, Vancouver's best and hottest Brazilian Samba troupe.
Heidi is a professional fitness model and creator of Mrs. Cannon's Kitchen, a company with a mandate to promote fitness and health through healthy eating. She trains extensively in the arts of strength and balance and is known for her athletic style, beautiful backgrounds and feats of flexibility.

We will contact you to arrange music.
We can email or dropbox music to your DJ. We prefer to arrange music ahead of time for Corporate and gala events.
For smaller private events we provide music on an iPod. We can provide a speaker for music at small house parties if required.
We can even arrange CD if you are rocking that old school sound system!
