Rica de la Luz has been providing unique and personalized body art service to Santa Cruz & Bay Area since 1997. sees clients by appoinment in her private studio near Downtown Santa Cruz, and travels for parties & special events.
Rica is dedicated to preserving this ancient art form, and maintaining the highest integrity in product and service, using only natural henna and jagua (an amazonian body paint made from fruit). Specializing in custom designs, it’s her delight to help you create a memorable and magical experience. Rica is also an accomplished belly dancer, having performed all over the state, at private events and stages. She offers this service solo, or in addition to henna.

Rica came on time and had everything ready to go for my belly piece. She'd prepared the stencil in advance and had plenty of fresh, high quality henna. She completed my piece in an hour and was able to give my small gathering of close friends all designs they loved. She for right in and was really interesting to chat with. I would totally recommend her and have het back for another gathering.
