We are SACRA/PROFANA, San Diego’s premiere professional choral group. Our mission? To bring YOU, the discerning listener, fantastic choral music from all across time and space in an accessible and engaging format. We have been wooing the ears of San Diego for over a decade, earning praise from audiences and critics alike for our eclectic and unorthodox approach to choral repertoire. SACRA/PROFANA has collaborated with everyone in town, from the San Diego Opera and the San Diego Symphony to the La Jolla Playhouse (with rave reviews alongside), but what we'd really love is to bring our fresh take on choral music to your event or party!

We are a group of professional singers dedicated to making the entertainment at your event or party as superb and customized to you and your guests as possible. We will work with you to tailor the repertoire and leave your guests with a musical afternoon or evening to remember forever.
SACRA/PROFANA has accomplished remarkable things in our 11 years, including numerous world and U.S. premieres and collaborations with leading regional arts organizations: San Diego Symphony, Art of Élan, San Diego Opera, California Ballet, and many more. SACRA/PROFANA also has performed with many artists of worldwide renown, including the legendary Irish band the Chieftains, producer Carlton Cuse (of ABC's hit show Lost), composer Michael Giacchino (Star Trek), and composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz in the development of Disney Theatrical's The Hunchback of Notre Dame at La Jolla Playhouse.
After a successful first decade, we are in the middle of our 11th season, which includes innovative choral programming, renewed collaborations with local and regional artists/groups, and service to our community through vibrant performances and focused education outreach.
