We are four guys who love to entertain. Our repertoire of covers spans the last 50 years of popular rock music, and we really love 90's alternative and grunge. We pride ourselves on the quality of our sound, and the excitement we generate for you, our audience, every time we perform.
You have no shortage of entertainment options. Ryder19 stands apart as a full-service, no-nonsense, friendly group of people who love to rock and put on a great show.

The members of Ryder are all over 30. We take the music seriously, but we do not take ourselves too seriously. This is about having a good time. We always do, and we always make sure that you do too.
As with any performing art, the attitude, preparation, and style of the players is what impacts the audience. Ryder is accomplished at a wide range of high-energy entertainment needs from dressed-down, restaurant and bar gigging to large, professional event polish and outdoor festival rollick with consistent enthusiasm and panache.
The material in our repertoire includes classic rock through modern and alternative, pop, punk, and dance. Our sets are epic. Typically we play three jam-packed, hour-plus sets of 16 to 19 songs. No other band offers more musical value than Ryder.
Our members are life-long, part-time musicians with additional professional responsibilities. Our preparation is meticulous and our performance is top-notch. We play a limited number of gigs per year, no more than 15 or 20.
Ryder's Members are:
- Jeff Ryder, lead vocalist with exceptional range, 20 years experience with numerous original and cover bands in Massachusetts.
- R. T. Carpenter, Guitarist, backing vocals, band leader and sound guy. 30 years experience in numerous local original and cover groups.
- Tony McGonagle on bass, also a member of local indie band Enna King.
- Mike Monteiga on drums, a prolific performer whom we're psyched to be collaborating with.
Ryder provides a full day or evening of music including sound and lighting. Our sound system is sufficient for small to medium sized venues. For larger engagements, additional fees apply.

All performing musical acts. The Promise has a variety of musical tastes centered around but not limited to the rock genre. We blend our own personal preferences with material that our audience members have asked for over the years.
The result is extremely satisfying for all involved. That's The Promise: You will hear songs you wanted to hear, even if you didn't know you wanted to hear them!
