About
Ryan Kemp – Multi-Instrumentalist | St. Louis, MO
Lifelong musician and versatile multi-instrumentalist with over 30 years of experience bringing high-energy, soulful performances to stages across the midwest area and beyond.
Whether you’re looking for the driving rhythms of bluegrass, the heartfelt storytelling of folk, the gritty edge of blues, the timeless grooves of classic rock, or the twang of country, I deliver the perfect musical vibe for your event. I play guitar, Pedal Steel guitar bass, and more—switching instruments seamlessly to keep the energy flowing all night long.
As the founder of Pickin’ On Music Festivals and leader of Ryan Kemp & Friends, I’ve performed with talented collaborators (including special guests like Allie Kral of Yonder Mountain String Band and Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon) at breweries, festivals, private parties, weddings, and corporate events. My sets range from intimate acoustic arrangements to full-band stomps that get crowds dancing and singing along.
From backyard gatherings and wine tastings to lively festival stages and wedding receptions, I tailor every performance to fit your atmosphere and audience. Professional, reliable, and always focused on making your event unforgettable.
Genres: Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Blues, Classic Rock, Americana

“I hosted a bday party for my wife. David did a great job with pop and rock across generations. He was solo or we sang alone. We danced and laughed and had a great time. ”
