Royal Hellions

We are an acoustic/ electric duet. We provide a lot of sound for two people! We can be as energetic or as laid back as you desire. With years of experience and various events under our belt we understand song selection and audiences very well. We play various instruments and tracks to tie it all together. That is what makes our unique sound.

Rachel and Carl met in a little town in Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains while playing music in 2012. After playing with various acts they decided to form the group Royal Hellions. They are now based out of Southwest Missouri. Their sound is an original mix of sounds that they love and take inspiration from including country, rock, and soul. They relocated to Missouri from Nashville, TN back in 2018. In May of 2021 they released their debut single “The Hard Times” on major platforms including Apple Music, IHeartRadio, YouTube and Spotify. Collectively they have toured most of the U.S. and numerous countries overseas. Carl was also a member of IBMA winning and Grammy nominated band Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver for 6 years. They have opened up for acts such as Billy Bob Thornton, Sam Bush, and Jamey Johnson. And also played with acts including Craig Morgan and Marty Stuart. In addition they have toured many different venues and festivals including Grey Fox, Harvest Festival in AR, Stagecoach, Town Hall, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry just to name a few.

Perhaps their proudest musical accomplishment together was touring the Middle East playing for the troops as part of an AFE tour.

Now emerging as the group Royal Hellions they look forward to creating original music. Their outlook on life combined with their passion for music creates a unique view ensuring a timeless era of creative energy and inspiration. They look forward to touring and creating their first album in 2025.
