I am a professional host with over 15 years in the industry hosting live events from local bars to Fortune 500 companies. I host a successful weekly trivia night in West Hollywood that I have expanded to professional settings such as in-office happy hours and Zoom get togethers. I'm also available for live or in-person emcee'ing and as a standup comedian with experience working in tech (Google, Box), I can thread the line between entertaining and professional. I have been coordinating weekly trivia for my company ever since the Pandemic. Finding the right number of questions and answers is hard enough but to add ways to keep it fun so team members tune in each week is exhausting and sometimes feels unattainable. We ended up using Rob's services for our Star Wars themed trivia to celebrate May 4th for the 1st time in 2022 and he has been our go to ever since! He also hosted our 1st Ghostbusters themed trivia which was a big hit! Rob is approachable, flexible and ready to answer any questions to ensure the event is what you want. You can tell he enjoys what he does which translates to the participants enjoying themselves as well. I am so happy to work with Rob's Trivia Night and plan to continue to reach out for more themed events in the future.

Rob is more than just a trivia host, he’s an incredible Emcee and comedian. He set the tone for my party and commanded everyone’s attention with his charisma and charm. Everyone was raving about him.
The trivia itself was themed to my event and he was very accommodating and was absolutely spot on in adhering to the theme and considering the mixed group of attendees.
Rob is a wonderful addition to any event- do not hesitate to book, prompt , communicative and professional with a wicked sense of humour. Would give him 10 stars if I could!

What to expect
For trivia, no two games are ever really the same, but here's the typical flow:
- Once contracted, you can let me know what round topics you would like to play or let me choose from the fan favorites
- For virtual games, just show up the Zoom room and play!
- For in-person events, we can coordinate on timing and any live details beforehand, but it's still pretty much as easy as show up and play
For all games, I provide a "Best Practices" doc since I want to make sure you get the best attendance and the most bang for your buck. Everything is customizable so don't hesitate to ask if you want something off the beaten path. I've hosted games on Star Wars, Pride Month and every other identity under the sun, birthdays, retirements, holiday parties, the TV Show Frasier (for the creators of Frasier - that was nerve racking! and probably a couple dozen others I'm forgetting.
I'm not there to perform. I'm there to make sure you have fun.
About
I’m Rob. Born in Boston, based in LA by way of San Francisco, I’ve spent over 10 years hosting trivia in bars and online for some of the biggest companies and smallest parties in the game. I’ve hosted well over 1,200 hours of trivia and have worked for Google and Box, so I know my way around a corporate event as well as a rowdy bar. My main gig is pub trivia/quiz nights, but I'm also an experienced emcee and live host.
I can host live events in the Los Angeles area or anywhere in the world (providing accommodation). Many of my events happen over Zoom and if you have a remote team or a loved one's birthday, it's a great way to get everyone together. I am a standup, classically trained tenor and drag performer so if you would like anything incorporated into your event, don't hesitate to ask.

Additional booking notes
For live events, a microphone and audio hookup are ideal, either through audio tech or self managed (for live trivia events). A screen/projector is strongly encouraged but can make do without.
For virtual events, participants need access to Zoom and to ensure no security software blocks them from the game URL
