Featuring Brazilian vocals & jazz guitar, Rio's vibe is invigorating yet relaxing, playful yet sophisticated, classic yet unique. Call it retro or call it timeless— for social events, this is the original cocktail music. For weddings, it's the most romantic music in the world. Available as a duo, trio, or quartet.

Rio's vocalist and guitarist are the alter-egos of the band Max Hatt / Edda Glass, who play coast-to-coast from New York's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to NPR Mountain Stage and the Sundance Film Festival. They've been featured by New York City Winery's Cellar Sessions, New York's WFUV, Huffington Post, Relix Magazine, Daytrotter, and, this summer, Wilco's Solid Sound Festival.

FOR JAZZ FANS: Rio plays a lovingly curated repertoire of ballads, swing, latin, and jazz standards.

FOR BRAZILIAN MUSIC FANS: As a Brazilian friend once said of Rio, we must be "brasileiros de alma e coração"— Brazilian in heart and soul. We deeply love and respect Bossa Nova and the beautiful musical instrument that is Brazilian portuguese. João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes — these are our heroes. We can easly play entire event of Bossa Nova & Samba if you so choose.
