I am a song and dance man, starring in my own one man show at the Las Vegas Hilton. I came to Las Vegas to open 'Jersey Boys' in the role of Frankie Valli and I have won numerous awards, including Best Singer of 2009, by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
'Body & Soul' is on Friday nights at the Hilton and is a mix of a multitude of different musical genres. It is in the style of a modern Sammy Davis, Jr. show with singing, dancing, tap dancing, drumming, original songs on the piano and banter with the audience. It received an A- from Mike Weatherford of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, as well as other rave reviews. I am looking to expand my act inside and outside of the Las Vegas area.

An audience member can expect to see a true song and dance man that is reminiscent of Sammy Davis, Jr. I offer entertainment in its purest form, without impersonations or send=ups. People always remark at the end of my shows that am keeping traditional song and dance alive, while instilling my own interpretation in what I'm doing.
People can also expect to hear a variety of different material. I enjoy singing many different genres of music from pop to jazz and rock to blues. I focus on trying to reach as large a demographic of people as I can when I perform because I want everyone to feel included in what's happening.
I also enjoy bantering and joking with the audience. My shows have a very loose and relaxed nature to them, while also maintaining enough structure to propel them forward. I want the audience to feel at ease when I'm performing, while being amazed at the same time.
I truly love what I do and I know that that feeling gets conveyed to the audience through my performance. That feeling of joy is undeniable and I love when an audience goes along with me for the ride and experiences it, too.
I have performed on Broadway, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, in the biggest regional theaters throughout the country, on television and on film. I am a true song and dance man in the tradition of Sammy Davis, Jr., although I do not impersonate him or any other Rat Pack singers. I studied my craft in New York City from the best singing, dancing and acting teachers in the business. I have worked with people such as: Tommy Tune, Cy Coleman, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Herb Gardner, Charles Strouse, Ann Reinking, Gwen Verdon, Julie Andrews, Gillian Lynne, Kathleen Marshall, Jeff Calhoun, Jerry Mitchell, Frankie Valli and others.
I moved to Las Vegas in April of 2008 to open the show 'Jersey Boys' in the role of Frankie Valli. It won me a Best Singer award from the Las Vegas Review-Journal as well as a Best Performance in a Lead Role award from (link hidden). I was featured the in the film 'Every LIttle Step', the documentary of 'A Chorus Line' in 2009 and I am also starring in and have received awards for the new movie 'Virgin Alexander', due to be released next year.
In August of 2009, I created my first one man show 'Songs My Idols Sang (And Danced)', at the South Point Hotel and Casino. It garnered much critical acclaim, as well as receiving awards for Best Local Show and Best Off Strip Performance from (link hidden). I recorded an album of the same name last year which is available online.
This year, I created my second one man show 'Body & Soul' which is in residency at the Las Vegas Hilton. It has also received critical success from the likes of Mike Weatherford of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and John Katsilometes of the Las Vegas Sun. I am looking forward to expanding this show at other properties and taking it to venues around Las Vegas and the country. I have performed at numerous corporate and private events in and out of Las Vegas. I have a vast amount of material to perform at any type of event and I can take pieces from both of my one man shows and create an evening around them.
I love what I do and I love making people happy. It's the best feeling in the world
I look forward to working with you soon!
Yours,
Rick Faugno (Fawn-Yo)
