Overview
Described as "in the very top percent of contact jugglers skillwise" and featured by the SF Chronicle, East Bay Express, Seattle Times, and Esquire, Richard's technical approach has made him a coveted instructor and performer across the United States and another twelve countries beyond. He is a co-founder of the Bellingham Circus Guild in Washington State; a resident artist emeritus at some of the San Francisco Bay Area's premier studios of prop-based circus arts; director of the Cascade Juggling Festival; and a talent curator for Kindle Northwest, North America's premier fire dance event. He presently teaches, trains, and hosts a weekly jugglers' meetup in beautiful Bellingham, Washington.

About
Richard Hartnell is among the most distinguished American contact jugglers.
His career in object manipulation covers much of North America's west coast. In 2008, Richard was a co-founder of the Bellingham Circus Guild in northwest Washington State; in 2009, he relocated to the Vulcan, a collective of movement artists in Oakland, California, to perform full-time. He currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and tours around the world, both solo and as a member of various troupes.
From the fundamentals to the far reaches, Richard has a grasp of contact juggling technique that brings him repeatedly to stages worldwide.
