Overview

Ric the Magician performs for children and Family settings. Ric specializes in children and family events that are always family friendly. The show includes comedy magic, ventriloquism and puppets.

At 8 years old, Ric experienced his first awe-inspiring magic trick, performed by his Grandfather, and desires to bring that level of amazement to others. Although Ric's "Magic" is purely tricks of cleverly crafted illusion, the real magic happens when his audiences forgets their worries and are genuinely entertained and walk away from the experience saying "that was fun!"

Great performance!

We really loved that Ric was at our party! Not only the kids enjoyed his performance but adults as well! He really did a great job. Everything he does as a performer comes from his heart.
He got along so well with everyone even with the kids who didn’t speak English.
Before the party I had a few questions and Ric was really easy to reach at his phone number and he got back to me with messages within a minute. He patiently explained everything.
I would definitely recommend him to everyone who is looking for the kids party entertainer. You will love his company!

The perfect magician for my 6 year old Birthday Party

Ric the Magician was amazing!! He wowed the kids with fun tricks and even kept my 3 year olds attention the entire show. He was funny too and had all the parents watching. Very professional, arrived on time with complete set up and even a microphone. Highly recommend Ric! All the kids were talking about the party at school the next day and trying to replicate his tricks ◡̈ Very reasonably priced and worth every penny!!

About

Ric is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He has won numerous local magic competitions. Has been active in local magic clubs serving on the board as treasurer, vice president and president. He has served as counselor for a magic summer camp teaching children magic tricks and how to perform. He produced a magic show in the California East Bay area called Share the Magic for over 10 years. This was a special fundraising show for the local magic club that featured many members in a two hour show once a year.

Additional booking notes

For standup shows, it is best to have the performance in an area where people can not walk or get behind the performer. For outdoor performances, I prefer to be in a shady area as I am a bit sun sensitive and my costume can be warm in direct sun light.

Influences and inspiration

Harry Houdini, Doug Henning, David Copperfield were the magicians I knew of as a child. Their performance material and styles where a big influence as I was growing up and developing my own personal style.
