RSO Is a 16-piece dance band specializing in true vintage big band swing music of the '30s and '40s with a good helping of Sinatra and The Rat Pack. We're as authentic as they come - no watered-down or modern-sounding music here! It's music as people remember it and want to hear and see it performed. Classy, professional, experienced and high-energy, we can appear in black tuxedos, white dinner jackets, black suits or authentic WWII military casuals. Booked by and at the best hotels, corporate events, municipalities and wedding receptions (the later are a specialty!) Add our dance instructors, dancers, jazz combo for cocktails, solo pianist for dinner, etc. Top shelf all the way!

February 17, 2016We had the pleasure of working with Gary from the Rhythm Society Orchestra in preparation for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My parents went to see them perform and absolutely loved their performance and couldn’t wait to book them for their big event immediately. Unfortunate circumstances with my dad’s health caused us to have to postpone the party and cancel our booking with the Rhythm Society Orchestra. We understood the ramifications of not fulfilling our obligations under the contract and were so appreciative of Gary’s offer to refund us our deposit and cancel the contract. Gary’s professionalism throughout the whole process – from original booking to patiently helping us plan how we want the event to flow to the unfortunate cancellation - was unbelievable. We couldn’t be more impressed with Gary and how he manages business and are so sorry that we will not be able to enjoy the wonderful sounds of the Rhythm Society Orchestra. Their music is fantastic and they offer some very cool options for a swing/ballroom dance type of event for all ages. You can have swing dancers perform , a jazz trio at dinner or cocktails, a DJ during breaks, everything you need to host a very classy event that your guests will be raving about for a long time.

Sinatra, Dorsey, Miller, Lunceford, Shaw, Goodman, Calloway, Bennett, Martin, Herman, etc. We set out to fill this niche area, performing tunes that people want to hear and dance to, leaving the other big bands to play high school and more modern styles. We are here for your entertainment, bringing the 1930s, 1940s and big band '50s back to life! From the Great Gatsby to Artie Shaw and Glenn Miller to Frank Sinatra, we do this era right.
We have our own lighting. Our footprint is about 12' deep and 24' wide. We provide everything from chairs to lights to amplification. Our sound person runs our board during the entire event, spinning music between big band music sets. All this is included in our fee.
