Rhythm Exchange

Expect a caring band!! Money is not the primary motivation for the Rhythm Exchange. We do it for the fun of it!! We want the people to dance, laugh, sing, and have fun. When the audience is having fun and reacting with energy, the band is having more fun and producing more energy. This is the exchange!! So, if you hire us, you will see from the first song that we interact with the audience and try to pull them into our show. We will get them out of their chairs and on the dance floor.

Expect great vocals!! Kate Laciak is our singer and she is a trained professional!! Formerly trained at Carnegie Hall, Kate has performed solo shows at the CMA, Grand Ole Opry, and Carnegie Hall!! Listen to her sing Journey in the video section!!

Expect a great sound!! We use state of the art Bose sound reinforcement technology. We play at a volume that is conducive to listening, but will allow your guests to talk with each other. Music does not have to be loud to be good.

Expect a quality light show. We use a wireless LED light set up. We have unique dance floor lights that will illuminate and wash the dance floor as well as the stage.

Expect a talented band. We feature a female lead vocalist, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. Our rhythm section is seasoned and energetic. On some songs, we use 2 guitars, and our lead guitarist also plays saxophone!!

Introducing our vibrant cover band, where music comes to life through the powerful voice of our star, Kate Laciak! With a stunning vocal range and a dynamic stage presence, Kate captivates audiences and engages each client, turning every performance into an unforgettable celebration. A trained professional (with instruction at Carnegie Hall) she brings a polished artistry to our shows, evoking emotion and connection through every note she sings.

Supporting Kate is Kenny Strong, our dedicated keyboard player, singer, rhythm guitarist, and band manager. With over 30 years of musical experience, Kenny orchestrates the ensemble with skill and passion, ensuring that the band flows seamlessly during each performance. His ability to blend harmonies and create rich melodies on the keyboard adds depth to our sound, while his organizational expertise keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Adding to the vibrant tapestry of our music is Aaron, our incredible guitarist and middle school band teacher. His commitment to nurturing young musicians shines through in his energetic playing, crafting captivating guitar parts that complement Kate's vocals beautifully.

The backbone of our band is Millie Dennis, our esteemed bass player with over 30 years of experience. Millie’s dedication to our mission inspires her to continuously refine her bass lines, creating a solid groove that keeps our audience dancing.

Completing our ensemble is Jim Shepard, our punctual drummer and true gentleman. With his exceptional timing and top-notch equipment, Jim lays down infectious beats that keep the energy high, ensuring that every guest is on their feet.
With a passion for sound that resonates through every project he touches, William Pierce is a seasoned sound technician and audio engineer whose expertise brings life to every auditory experience. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Sound Technology, William has honed his craft over the years, most notably at the enchanting Dollywood, where he orchestrated the soundscape that enhances the park's vibrant atmosphere.

William's journey in audio engineering is marked by an unwavering commitment to perfection and innovation. His years of experience at Dollywood have equipped him with a unique ability to blend technical skill with artistic sensibility, turning everyday sounds into captivating auditory landscapes. Whether it's fine-tuning the acoustics of a live performance or designing immersive audio environments, William approaches each project with creativity that knows no bounds.

We require a 15 amp circuit to plug into. 2 separate outlets would be ideal. If outside, we need cover from any rain, high winds or direct sunlight. We can provide a tent for an extra fee.
