What to expect
You'll see me playing in the band Peach Fuzz and the Power Chill, Gruve Smoothie and as a solo live-looping artist. I play an eclectic mix of covers and originals that are heavily jazz and blues influenced. One set might include classics from every decade! My overall genre could be considered yacht rock, or jazz pop but I cover many different recognizable genres and artists. I also play original music occasionally. I can learn just about any song you might request but I do prefer to play what I am best at. I've played wedding ceremonies, corporate events, private parties, background jazz, and small opening acts on stage. I'm confident I can deliver a great performance for whatever your needs are!
About
Rhys Gerwin is a Coeur d’ Alene, ID native who specializes in teaching and performing musical styles such as Jazz, Rock, Blues and Alternative to name a few. His solo performance consists of a live-looping, one-man-band set of covers and originals that span many decades. He is primarily a guitarist but also plays bass, piano, vocals and drums. He teaches in person, online and performs regularly.
Additional booking notes
I can provide my own sound equipment for small venues and typically require two inputs for a solo act. I use a Helix Stomp XL, TC Helicon Harmony Gxt for vocal effects and a BOSS RC-600 looper.

Influences and inspiration
I'm influenced by guitarists such as George Benson, Joe Pass, David Gilmour, Guthrie Govan, and Julian Lage to name a few. My influences of song choice change frequently but I tend towards RnB, Classic Pop, Soul and Rock such as Grover Washington Jr., The Isley Brothers, Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder, Van Morrison, Steely Dan and the like. My modern influences come from Blind Melon, Sugar Ray, Weezer, Incubus, Daniel Caesar, Red Hot Chili Peppers and so much more.
