Overview

My name is Rae (short for Rachael) and I love to share what makes me the happiest.
I am a personal chef and caterer. My goal is to make your event as personal and easy as possible.

I work with you to make a custom menu of things you enjoy. Most categories fall under French, Italian, Mediterranean, American, or surprise (anything goes). I set up picture worthy displays to start and finish with plated or family style entrees. Desserts are brought tableside or displayed. If you or your guests like to chat and ask questions during the event please do! If you want your privacy I will be out of sight. I'm on your time!

Rachael was absolutely incredible!!!!

Rachael was absolutely incredible!!!! The food was unbelievable and her service was amazing. She was such a pleasure to have at our event and made my wedding so unforgettable! I can’t wait to have another reason to work with her again!!

What to expect

Prior to Service:
The days leading up to your event all the shopping is done for you!. I will order and pick out the best ingredients for your meal. I try to keep things as seasonal and local as possible. Then everything is packed up and brought to you.

I will arrive 90 minutes to 2 hours ahead of your chosen start time with everything we will need for your night. Food and tools will be brought in. I will get things set up. All you need to do is show me where your pots/pans are, what plates/cutlery you want me to use, and anything I should know about your kitchen.

Service:
During service everything will be prepped, cooked and plated. All plates and serving dishes are cleared away between each course.

Appetizers are displayed family style for you and your guests to enjoy while the remaining courses are being prepared.

Entree's are either displayed family style for self service or your guests will be seated and their plated entrée will be placed in front of them.

Desserts can be displayed for your guests to take as they wish or can be passed to each guest.

End of Service:
Everything is washed and returned to their cabinets, drying rack or placed in the dishwasher. Leftover food can be packed away in your refrigerator.

Your counters, stove and sink are wiped down. Everything I brought with me is cleaned and packed up. Your kitchen will look like I was never there

About

My name is Rae (short for Rachael) and I love to share what makes me the happiest.

I am professionally trained and working professionally for ten years. I've spent time in country clubs, fine dining, corporate accounts, catering and most recently in cannabis dispensary kitchens. I spent a long time in allergen cooking/baking. From Celiac to dyes to vegan. I pride myself on minimizing cross contamination as I have allergies myself and know how tough it can be.

For five years I worked with work study students and private in home adult/kids classes. I enjoy hands on classes with all my students.

I've been baking/cooking since I could hold a rolling pin as a toddler. My best memories are cooking side by side with my grandmother using the tools my grandfather made her in Germany, preparing meals with my father, and the beautiful cakes my mother made. I have found immense comfort in cooking. Though they've been gone since I was a young kid, it keeps me close to the memories I have with them.
