Reverend Doctor

A Reverend Doctor performance can scale from intimate and acoustic to a full-band celebration, depending on the room, the event, and the energy you want to create.
At the center of every configuration is Reverend Doctor’s signature live-looping show: one performer, one guitar, one microphone, and a looper pedal used to build an entire arrangement live in front of the audience. Guitar parts, vocal harmonies, percussion, beatboxing, and rhythmic layers are created in real time—nothing the audience hears is simply a backing track. Watching the song take shape is part of the experience.
For smaller events, the show can lean warm, conversational, and acoustic. For larger parties, festivals, and corporate events, Reverend Doctor can expand into duo, trio, or full-band configurations for even more vocal harmony, groove, and stage energy.
Whatever the size, clients can expect a polished, engaging performance, a wide-ranging mix of soul, funk, rock, pop, and familiar favorites, and a performer who knows how to read the room—whether the goal is sophisticated atmosphere, active listening, or a packed dance floor.

Reverend Doctor is a 5-star GigSalad performer bringing soul, groove, and serious live energy to everything from intimate private events to major festival stages.

Performing solo through live looping or backed by a full band, Reverend Doctor scales naturally to the room without losing what makes the show special: powerhouse vocals, deep musicality, sharp instincts, and a catalog built to make people turn to each other and say, “I LOVE this song.”

Expect Top 40, classic soul, funk, rock, and unexpected favorites reworked with personality and groove. Need polished background music that still feels alive? Done. Want to turn a corporate party into a dance floor? Even better. Reverend Doctor knows how to read a room and meet it where it is.

Extended Bio:

Reverend Doctor is soul-pop that hits like gospel, grooves like funk, and speaks directly to the part of you that’s been trying to hold it all together.

Created by award-winning singer-songwriter Keith Rollins, Reverend Doctor is a musical project built around a simple idea: music can make room for people. The name carries the mission—Reverend, to preach; Doctor, to heal—but the show is less sermon than invitation.

Drawing from the storytelling of Marvin Gaye, the theatricality of Prince, the immediacy of modern pop, and the communal force of soul and funk, Reverend Doctor creates music that is joyful without being shallow, hopeful without looking away, and deeply human without taking itself too seriously.

Whether performing solo through live looping or leading a full band, Rollins builds shows around connection. Songs become conversations. Crowds become choirs. Strangers become neighbors.

That same instinct shapes Reverend Doctor’s original music, where themes of identity, resilience, belonging, love, and self-acceptance live beside irresistible grooves and big choruses. The goal is not simply to make people feel good for an hour, but to leave them carrying something useful when they go.

From living rooms to festival stages, Reverend Doctor approaches every performance as an opportunity to create a little more joy, a little more courage, and a little more room for people to be fully themselves.

When the last note fades, the hope is simple: you leave lighter than you arrived—and maybe dancing a little differently on the way out.

Reverend Doctor can be completely self-contained, including professional sound for events from intimate gatherings to larger audiences. Unplugged performances are also available for smaller settings.
