I began my public speaking experience at the age of 14 on the radio in Los Angeles, California. I have a natural ease and a very engaging personality. I usually start of with some kind of ice breaker that may depending on the setting include a song and or a poem. You can expect a high impact thought provoking interactive experience. Award Winning Editor in Chief Renata Brown's zeal for the arts and motivational speaking comes from being an artist. She is an accomplished songstress, poet and speaker who began writing poetry at eight years old. “At the heart of me” she states “I am a creative”. Renata is featured in several anthologies and has appeared on numerous Radio talk shows. She self -published ‘Simply Life is a Poem’ in 2010. Nearly a decade (2019) later her second release ‘Things I Learned While Packing’ is getting 5-star reviews. In her own words “Artistry is not a hobby for me. The arts are my passion and ministry. Helping other release their creativity is my mission.”
Renata is Editor in Chief of two publications A-Spire & EM-Spire Magazines. She is also Executive Producer of the A-Spire Awards formerly the GANSPA Awards (Gifted Artists Neo Soul and Poetry Awards) for the development and celebration of Indie Artists. Ms. Brown is also a licensee of the Genius is Common movement. The Movement was founded by Bruce George who is the Co-founder of HBO Def Poetry Jam.
Dream Spire is the overarching company for the publications and the award show. The Organization’s mission is to support artists, entrepreneurs and those in the motivational field year round through its education and mentoring programs as well as spotlight excellence through the magazines and Annual Awards Ceremony. The annual event features a daytime Business, Arts and Book Fair Expo. The evening is topped off with an Awards Show Gala that bestows over 20 honors and supports the organizations official charity Kier’s (link hidden) whose founder is Kier Junior Spates of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
The GANSPA Awards have honored such notables as Actor Tommy Ford, Radio Personality Joyce Littel, New Anchor Jaquitta Williams,3x Grammy Nominated, Vocalist Angie Stone and featured performances and appearances by George Tandy Jr., Lyfe Jennings, 2x Grammy Winner Monshe Eshe of Arrested Development and the Emmy winning Hank Stewart.
Renata holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She also received a certification in graphic design from Kennesaw State University of Georgia. Renata served as marketing and advertising director for the Hopewell Baptist Church Drama Guild. In 2013, she booked talent for the show Spoken Sound of Soul on independent artists, station (link hidden).
