What to expect

We love performing, and we love playing reggae. If you want a chill vibe for your venue, but also want to see folks get up and dance, we are the right choice for your event. You can expect 100% popular reggae covers with no originals and no other genres. We default to playing as a 2-piece accompanied by a drum machine, but can scale up to a 5-piece band with a keyboard player, a (real) drummer and a second guitar player, depending on budget and availability. We can bring our own PA to smaller venues that don't have their own. Please reach out with any questions, we'd love to perform for you and make a memorable occasion for your guests!

About

Frank Castro (Vocals, Guitar, Electronic Drums)
Guitar player and vocalist, has years of experience performing rock, pop, and reggae. His reggae band Red Di recorded 3 albums and his solo reggae rock album ‘Pop Culture’ gained Top 100 status on the N1M national charts. After 10+ years recently in local rock and pop bands Frank is returning to his reggae roots. “Many of my friends and fans kept asking me to come back and play reggae because they missed it so much”. “I can feel the missing reggae vibe locally and we’re hoping RRW can help fill the void”.

Ian Monat (Bass)
Ian grew up in the Bay Area in the 90's listening to Reggae Rock favorites like Sublime, Pepper and 311. He started playing bass in high school, got a scholarship and graduated from the Bass Institute of Technology at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. He's played in dozens of regional bands, and has had the privilege of opening for esteemed acts such as Jason Mraz and Mystic Roots. He has played in bands with Nick Bearden (Jamestown Revival), Bryan Simmons (Fantastic Negrito) and Heidi Riggs (orchestra for Kygo). Ian is thrilled to be playing reggae in the Bay and looks forward to see you on the dance floor!
