Red Lipstiq is a dynamic and lyrically gifted artist hailing from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, now representing the vibrant city of Little Rock. At 31 years old, she brings a lifetime of experience and passion to the mic, having first discovered her voice through rap at the tender age of 3 and found deeper expression through poetry by 9.
Inspired by her brothers—whose love for the artform sparked her own—Red Lipstiq’s early years were shaped by raw talent and a deep respect for the culture. A pivotal move to New York at 15 sharpened her perspective and added grit to her evolving style, helping her develop the sharp, unique wordplay that now defines her sound.
From church stages to global journeys, her voice has traveled. Raised by a strong mother in the church, Red Lipstiq performed original poetry at funerals, banquets, youth events, and more—planting the seeds of a performer who connects deeply with emotion and spirit. While she dedicated years to crafting her art, it wasn’t until the age of 29 that she stepped fully into the studio, bringing decades of lived experience to the booth.
Her journey includes attending the largest open mic in the country every Tuesday for nearly a year in Hollywood, California—an experience that solidified her presence as a serious and soulful voice in the game. From coast to coast and even across borders, her work has touched hearts and stages alike.

Growing up, I watched my brothers rap and perform poetry, and I wanted to be just like them. Today, my focus is on becoming a better version of Red Lipstiq. While I recognize and respect many great rappers out there, I don’t have any one artist I specifically look up to, my inspiration comes from within and the drive to constantly evolve my own style.
