Fantastic Jazz Performance for Mother’s Day

Rebecca Jaymes Band was absolutely fantastic for our Mother’s Day celebration at Woodland Terrace. From the drums and bass player to the piano player, every musician brought incredible talent and energy to the performance. Rebecca’s beautiful jazz vocals truly tied everything together and created such a warm, elegant atmosphere for our residents and guests.

The music was engaging, upbeat, and perfect for the occasion. Residents were smiling, singing along, and truly enjoyed the afternoon. We appreciated their professionalism, talent, and the wonderful experience they provided. We would happily welcome them back again!

About

Rebecca Jaymes was raised in Pleasant Valley, New York. She picked up her first instrument at age three, the violin, and was classically trained on both violin and piano before exploring formal training for her voice. Rebecca graduated from Frost School of Music at the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance, and studied under Dr. Kathryn Reid. After graduating with honors from Frost, Rebecca performed 6 nights a week on board the Navigator of the Seas for Royal Caribbean as the featured jazz vocalist. Since then, she has accumulated over 20 years of gigging experience, including performances at The Carlyle Hotel, The Bitter End, and Caffe Vivaldi in New York City.

Rebecca moved to Seattle in 2021 and is thrilled to pick up her vocal career again with the wonderful musicians she has met in the area. She has regular performances at North City Bistro, Musicquarium Lounge at the Triple Door, and Aurora Borealis in the Seattle area. Recently she was selected to be on the cover of Earshot Jazz Magazine (January 2026) including a featured article.
