We provide Dance Music & Entertainment for Parties, Corporate Events, Weddings, Fund Raisers, Upscale Restaurants, Street Fairs & Car Shows.
We sound like 5 piece band but more affordable. We are One of Texas top duos. Our genres include Rock, Light Rock, Blues, Pop, Motown, Funk, Country, and a bit of Jazz.

What to expect
You can expect to have a great time listening & watching us perform. We are consumate pros. We know how to read an audience.
We bring all necessary equipment including a top drawer PA system. Lighting can be added for an additional fee. We show up way before the gig and start on time.
About
Read & Lava are a duo the two of them deliver a sound comparable to a 4 to 6 piece group. Larry is a Multi instrumentalist Guitarist/Lead Vocalist. He also plays bass, drums and keys. Robbie is a Lead Guitarist / Back up vocalist. We use state of the art equipment to provide exceptional danceable entertainment. Larry uses a special guitar that is midi-enabled to provide other instrurments as well as Bass & Drums. Totally Live. WE set the mood...whether it's laid back jazz or dance your booty off, we provide music at its finest. Robbie Lava is like having Robin Williams on stage with you. Lightning fast humor and quick wit keeps everyone in stitches between songs.
Between the two of them they offer up 4 decades of entertainment experience.
Additional booking notes
We typically need access one to two hours before a gig to set up all our gear. If you have special musical requests please advise us as early as possible so we may accomodate you.
