Raynbow Clown and Friends

At a typical birthday party for younger children, Raynbow arrives in costume, but *not* in clown makeup, and puts on a simplified version of his clown face in front of the children, so that they see that clowns are friendly, not frightening. He then begins a routine, lasting roughly 10 minutes, where he pretends to forget how to inflate a balloon and needs the childrens' help -- only to comically keep getting it wrong. This ends with a special balloon creation for the birthday child, and leads into an extended clown magic, which involves audience interaction, so that all of the children that want to get on "stage" as helpers.

Performances differ, of course, at church events, company picnics (which typically involve a lot of strolling, pocket magic and balloon animals), wedding receptions (yes, seriously), grand openings, etc.

Raynbow the Clown and Friends are (primarily) Tom and Ellen Raymond, a happily married couple who attended the week-long Clown Camp back in 1998, and are members of Clowns of America International. Raynbow (aka. Tom) clowns, makes balloon animals ranging from a single balloon creation to a life-size superhero for birthday parties. Goofy Grape (aka. Ellen) clowns, paints faces, and can spit a stream of water over 50 feet -- typically at Raynbow.

Trudy Raymond also comes along to offer face painting, and for various events we've had other professionals join us as well.
