Overview
"Jazz can Rock the Country Folk." Rainier Riff is an acoustic duo with guitar (6 string and 12 string) and congas. We play original songs and standards with a driving beat and uplifting nature which may motivate you to get up and dance. We build our music to a cresendo only to pause with a soft blues or jazz standard to cool back down. Our mood is upbeat and positive and our music reflects our joy of living which can be infectious as we share that joy with our audience. Join us as we knit a musical harmony that has been decades in the making.

About
David Lynch, our talented guitarist, has been immersed in music since childhood. He founded the rock group “Nobodys Children” in Brussels, Belgium, and later formed the “Tree Frog Boogie Ensemble” in Boston, MA. David’s musical journey led him to Santa Cruz, CA, where he met John Little, with whom he performed for a decade in the San Francisco Bay area. In 2011, David moved to Wahington and joined forces with Maryka to reform Rainier Riff.
Since early in her life Maryka Ford, our percussionist, has been a fixture in the Seattle music scene. Her rhythmic prowess adds depth and energy to our performances. Together, we create musical magic that resonates with audiences nationwide.
