About
My legacy as Santa Claus began quietly, at home. I’ve loved Christmas since I was a little boy, and I’ve always carried that joy with me in my heart.
About 40 years ago, I wanted to surprise my two young sons, ages 7 and 8, on Christmas Eve. I bought a simple Santa suit and stepped into the role for the very first time, never imagining that moment would plant the seed for what would become my life’s calling.
Years later, about 10 years ago, I dressed as Santa once again, this time to surprise my grandson. Seeing the joy, wonder, and belief in his eyes made everything come full circle. That was the moment I knew this was more than a costume, it was my purpose.
To honor that calling, I chose to study and train professionally to become Santa Claus. I attended Santa schools where I learned the art of authentic Santa performance, storytelling, child engagement, safety, and creating meaningful, respectful experiences for families of all backgrounds and abilities.
Today, I proudly serve as Rafael Claus, a real-bearded, bilingual Santa Claus dedicated to spreading joy, kindness, and the true spirit of Christmas all year round. I’ve had the honor of visiting schools, libraries, community centers, family celebrations, and charitable events throughout Southern California, as well as participating in heartfelt outreach events in Tijuana, Mexico, bringing Christmas magic to children and families who need it most.
I have experience working with children of all abilities and am patient, gentle, and attentive when creating inclusive, joyful experiences for children with special needs. Whether it’s a birthday celebration, school visit, holiday event, or community gathering, my goal is always the same: to help children believe, to bring comfort and joy, and to create memories families will cherish forever.
Being Santa isn’t something I do only in December its all year round and it’s who I am in my heart.

Influences and inspiration
My mother has been a parent, a coach and a teacher and has affected my life more than any other person I know. She has shown us love and respect and the importance of always getting back up after you fall. She is a survivor and will forever be my hero. As a single parent my mom taught us family is always more important than riches, She has taught us to know no boundaries and to go out and not only get what we want but to enjoy and appreciate the opportunity of the quest. But most importantly we have been raised to know at the end of the day you need to love and appreciate what you have. What I have is a great mom.
My wife and my kids inspired me to take on this role of Santa Claus, they keep telling me that I love the Christmas Season, I always have the Christmas tree and all the outside lights up by thanksgiving, that I love the Christmas music, have a great personality, good sense of humor and that I get along with everyone, my friend, coworkers, the teacher from my grandson school they all know me and I enjoyed playing with my grandkids, because of my family I decided to take on the role of the Man in the Red Suit "Santa Claus" to give joy and happiness to lots of children's when they see me, I'm so grateful and blessed to be able to do this and my dream is to be able to do lots of toy drives to help family with kids that don't have the resources to provide toys to their kids.
