Meet Southern California’s only all-female-fronted 80’s dance band. We are taking bookings now for private parties, corporate events, street fairs, summer concert series, sports events, and more.

Our sound is a love letter to the 80’s. Live saxophone. Live vocal harmonies. For us, it’s not schtick. It’s not parody. We are true fans of the era who hope to recreate some of the pure joy the 80’s sound is known for. And your party will feel that from the moment we start playing.

Most of our set list features female vocalists—Madonna, Whitney Houston, Pat Benatar, Heart, Eurythmics, Janet Jackson, Taylor Dayne, and more. That’s a big reason why our sound is different than other 80’s bands (male lead singers often don’t sing a lot of female tunes). But we still perform crowd-favorites from Journey, Bowie, Bon Jovi, and Springsteen. We’re serious when we say we love the 80’s!

Ok, now for more about hiring us as a band. When you hire us, all of the equipment needed for your party is included. Yup! All we need is a power supply and a space to play. We bring everything: complete backline, PA system, even our own sound engineer. This saves you money in rentals and time in coordinating with equipment vendors. We are truly plug-and-play!

Radio Royalty is a premier 80’s dance band based in Orange County, CA. Radio Royalty celebrates the unique sounds and styles of the decade including Pop, Rock, Soul, and New Wave. Bringing together lush synth sounds, live horns and a killer front vocal line, the band is all about getting a party started. Whether you lived through the 80’s or just a fan of the era, Radio Royalty will lift you up, never let you down and have you singing and dancing until the night is over!

Radio Royalty has made the investments in our musical infrastructure, so that we can recreate a great sounding performance every time we play. One of the biggest challenges is the thousands of settings and variables that you can select to change the sound. We have built our band around our QSC TouchMix 30 Digital Mixer that has an incredible amount of intelligence built into the mixer. It allows us to best calibrate the sound depending on the venue size and allows us to save sound configurations so that we can recall those settings with the touch of a button. What that means for you as a customer is a high caliber live sound for Radio Royalty and doing it while reducing the set up time for the band.

The PA Speakers and the subwoofers we use all also QSC products. We use QSC K12.2 for the PA speakers and QSC KS112 for the subwoofers. The advantage of an all QSC system is that we are able to utilize preset settings created by QSC that can maximize the sound. These presets were compiled by feedback from thousands of hours of professional sound engineering that helps us tap into this knowledge of the PA system by simply telling the mixer what QSC speakers we are using.

Radio Royalty has upgraded all of our cables in the band to the highest quality Canare Stage cable with gold-tip Neutrik connectors for every cable we use on stage. In addition, we use a high-end Shure wireless In-Ear Monitor system that allows each band member to adjust the sound mix exactly as they need it. This helps keep stage noise for the band t a minimum. Lastly, our band has a professional sound engineer that we hire for larger shows. He has been working with the band for a while and has a good understanding of the equipment we use.
