When I perform, I bring my acoustic guitar or piano and just... play. It's pretty simple, but I think that's what makes it work. There's no big production, no backing tracks, no fuss — just me, the music, and whoever's in the room.
I do a mix of originals and covers, and I try to make the set feel like a conversation rather than a performance. I read the room as I go — if people are eating and talking, I'll settle into something warm and ambient. If they're actually listening, I'll lean in and give them something to feel.
For venues and event planners, I know you have a lot moving parts on your end, so I try to make my piece of it as easy as possible. I show up early, I set up my own gear, I communicate ahead of time so nothing is a surprise, and I don't have a long list of demands. I just need a small space, a microphone, and a monitor and I'm good to go.
Set lengths are flexible — usually anywhere from one to three hours depending on what works for you. I can fill a whole evening or just a couple of hours. Whatever you need, I'll make it fit.
People tend to leave my shows saying they felt something. That's really the best way I know how to describe what I do. I care a lot about making sure whoever's in that room — whether it's ten people or a hundred — walks away feeling like it was worth their time

I'm Rachael McVey, a singer-songwriter from Vero Beach, Florida. I've been writing and performing music for several years now, and honestly, it's just always been the thing I keep coming back to.
I play both original music and covers — sometimes faith-based, sometimes not — on acoustic guitar and piano. My sets tend to feel pretty intimate no matter the size of the room, because that's just naturally where my music lives. I've performed at a concert in Media, PA, at Liberty University's CCM showcase, and in a lot of church and community settings over the years. The moments that stick with me most are when someone comes up after a show and says the music said something they couldn't put into words themselves. That's why I do this.
I'm growing a small but really engaged community online through Instagram and TikTok, and I love that connection — but nothing replaces a live room.
I'm flexible with set length (usually one to three hours), easy to work with, and I genuinely care about the experience I bring to a space. Whether it's a coffee shop, a listening room, a restaurant, or a stage — I show up ready to give the room something real.
