Punky Bluester

Punky Bluester: a cuddly porcupine, dangerously cute with a sharp edge. Imagine Jack White, Nirvana, and Jim Morrison's love child. Formed in Oklahoma City in 2020 by Timmy Braun and Matt Kemp, their Heavy Blues storytelling infused with Punk, Metal, and Grunge. Braun's thunderous drumming, Kemp's guitar prowess, joined by Chris "Mudflap' Nichols on bass and Jayson's opera-trained voice form a dynamic 4-piece. Their music is electric storytelling, with performances that blend original songs and covers seamlessly, engaging and energizing the entire room. Accompanied by the mysterious disembodied voice of 'Agent 44 One-sixteen,' Punky Bluester unveils a wild musical and multi-media journey. When Punky takes the stage, everyone will stop to witness the spectacle, because they are so handsome. Punky Bluester was formed mid-pandemic by drummer, Timmy "Hit Man" Braun, aka Bam-Bam and Guitarist, Matt Kemp, aka 'Fearless Leader.' the conversation went down something like this.
Fearless: We should make a band that is half blues and half punk rock.
Bam Bam: 'Punky Bluester' it shall be called.
Fearless: Yes. Punky Bluester.....(gazes wistfully off into the distance)
Bam Bam: You know, man, that Punk Rock and Blues are the two least popular styles of music in America today, right?
Fearless. Ah yes... well, PUnky don't give a F***
Bam Bam: Can you rap? everyone is into rap. all the kids today love rap. Rap is killing it!
Fearless: This may be so. but Rock and Roll will never die!
(SFX: a gong chimes as the wind blows gently through Feearless' hair)
