Overview

You have been asked to present your ideas to the decision-makers of the company. Adrenaline kicks in, causing excitement, nervousness, anxiety, or just plain fear. These emotions can actually help you to give a powerful presentation.
In this talk, Gary uses his 35 years of professional sales and 50 years of public speaking experience to show how to use that adrenaline to your advantage. You will learn how to prepare your introduction, how to be yourself, how to keep your audience engaged and how you can be enthusiastic. Skills like voice inflection, microphone use, and even using video conferencing are covered.
By the end of the talk, you will be a more confident and successful presenter.

What to expect

A relaxed presentation. Athough I use Power Point, it is only there as a guide. Most of the presentation is direct speaking to the audience.

About

Over 50 years of public speaking and over 35 years of professional sales experience. My sales experience ranges from retail sales to professional product sales and consulting. I have managed sales territories across Western Canada including direct and channel sales with budgets into the millions of dollars, winning multiple sales awards. My current company is a sales/consulting company doing business in the television broadcast, film/video production, cable, and other professional video industries.

I started public speaking at a young age at religious services and have been trained to talk and teach. This background helped me develop more public speaking skills in my professional career. I have prepared and presented multiple seminars dealing with technology, information, products, system design, and product training. My experience includes speaking in front of 100's to 1000's of people.

I have a very relaxed speaking style, using humor and anecdotes, which makes the audience comfortable and relaxed.

Personally, I enjoy sports like hockey and golf. I'm still playing recreational hockey during the winter as a goalie and play golf at an 18 handicap. My wife and I enjoy travel, especially to warm climates.
