Regional pricing for Christmas Carolers

Less than 2 weeks before Christmas, I learned that I would have to be out of town over Christmas - leaving my bedridden 101-year-old mother (on Hospice Care) with my husband and I unable to visit her Christmas week. I found GigSalad online and they went above and beyond with my very difficult request: a last-minute booking of Christmas Carolers for a private performance for my mother. The first 3 troupes contacted were all either booked or unavailable. GigSalad reached out to me the next day to see if I had found anyone. I replied no; the gentleman explained that Christmas Carolers are usually fully booked far in advance, but he would try again. The same day I heard from Festive Florida Singers. They had a performance scheduled earlier in the day in the area and had 2 Carolers who were willing to add a private performance for my mother after they were done with that. The 2 performers were incredible (her facility sent me a video of their performance). Beautifully attired in Victorian era clothing, incredible voices, and they were warm and engaging with my mother. She loved it and was alternately singing along and clapping for each song. In addition to Festive Florida Singers, the 2nd Christmas miracle was that when we got home the next week, my mother (who has zero short- or medium-term memory, and her long-term memory is fading quickly) remembered every detail of the Carolers and their performance. She told us (correctly) what songs they sang for her, how they were dressed, and that they were two of the kindest, warm and engaging people she had met in a long time.
