About
Growing up with my father as a mime, I had extensive fantasies of the circus and theatre, it was natural for me to want to follow in his footsteps. I would practice with my father, creating clown routines, accompany him to his events and watch in wonder as he made people laugh and smile.
In my mid-teens I fell in love with popping, a funk style dance from Fresno, California. I started traveling throughout the United States to learn from other dancers and compete. When I was 18 I started performing professionally as a dancer.
My journey has brought me back to circus—specifically Contortion, Contortion Archery, Bottle Walking, and Acrowheel. After a decade of performing professionally, I feel as though my journey is just getting started and I can’t wait to see where this road takes me.
I give back to my community as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. I’ve worked with multiple non-profits developing dance & performance programs for youth and fitness/ health programs for adults. Currently I work with Motor City Street Dance Academy creating free health and fitness videos and leading fitness workshops at the studio.
I have created multiple programs for various non profits such as the YMCA, Bright Futures, Fly Creativity Labs, MCSDA, etc., leading classes that teach empathy, compassion, confidence, and community through performance art. I also developed Healthy Eating and Physical Activity programs for multiple summer camps and after school programs.
Circus Anatomy is an exciting and dynamic program designed to introduce anatomy & physiology to children kindergarten through early high school through various circus acts.
