What to expect
Clear communication and rock solid commitment are my core values. We’ll work out your needs and schedule as well as my rate, and then you can relax and know that I’ll show up on time and prepared to make your event sound beautiful.
If you aren’t sure exactly what music you want, no worries! I have stacks of music and ready made set lists to make your planning easy. If you have special pieces that you want to hear, let me know, and I’ll do my best to add them in. There may be an additional charge if the music requires additional purchases or is unusually difficult.
I am a highly flexible and adaptable person who loves to make people happy, so if you have any questions, just ask!
About
I’ve been at the keys since long before my feet could reach the pedals, and I still love my time on the piano bench. My training has deep roots in the precision, discipline, and technique of classical music, but I also love the uninhibited emotion and improvisational vibe of popular music. I’ve played for parties, singalongs, dinners, churches, and funerals - and while I enjoy the solo spotlight as much as a performing musician, I know how to share it too.
There’s nothing like live music to set the tone and the mood for an event. Live music is something precious and ephemeral, a fleeting thing of beauty. Drop me a line, and we can bring live art to your special event.
Additional booking notes
I do not pack my own keyboard or sound equipment (at least, not yet), so please be sure that there is a piano on-site that is in good repair and in tune. Ask your venue coordinator if you aren’t sure! An out of tune piano will sound terrible no matter how skilled the player.
If the venue has a full-sized keyboard on site, that may be a decent option depending on the age/model. Be aware that many keyboards are not full-sized - a short keyboard is playable, but it will not produce as full or enjoyable a sound as the full range of keys.
If you have questions, please reach out!
