Pole Diversity offers acrobatic pole dance solos, doubles, and group pieces, aerial hoop solos and doubles, hand balancing, acrobatic acro sport, chair dance, and more.
What a great performance! It had rainy for 5 days and she still drove 2 hours in hopes of good weather!!! Which we had! The performance was wonderful. My guests loved it! I highly recommend her!!

I am available for ambient, acrobatic, or aerial acts. I can perform solo or in group acts. I can create acts based on your event's needs, and I am prepared to assist in providing the perfect performance just for your event.
I will always arrive by the agreed upon time, in costume and ready to perform after a quick warm-up.
If I am bringing equipment, I will need to set up before the event begins. The aerial rig takes about 30 minutes to assemble. The stage pole takes about 10 minutes to assemble.
Jody Ryker has been training in circus arts since 2011. She specializes in pole dance, acrobatics, and aerial hoop. Jody started the performance group Pole Diversity in 2015, and since has directed, produced, and choreographed three hour-long circus shows in Santa Cruz. Jody has performed at variety of events in California, including music festivals (Northern Nights 2016 & 2017, Organic Fest 2017), burlesque shows (Hubba Hubba Revue, Gold Town Burlesque), variety shows (Keep Chico Weird! 2015), side shows (San Francisco's Craft Spirits Festival 2017, Santa Cruz Boardwalk Summer 2016, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing's Twisted Tasting 2016), holiday shows (Cathedral of Faith's "In the Name of Love" 2015 & 2016), and more. Additionally, Jody has been teaching pole dance and aerial arts since 2014. She currently teaches at SF Pole & Dance and at UC Santa Cruz's Recreation Department.
Jody is passionate about sharing her unique art form and inspiring emotions and ideas through her choreography.
Outside of circus arts, Jody also pursues mathematics. She earned a master's degree in pure mathematics from UC Santa Cruz.
Stage pole and aerial rig (at an additional fee) are available for performances. Listed under "Setup Requirements" are the necessary space requirements for these.
Please contact me to discuss the aerial rigging capability of the venue if you do not wish to also rent the aerial rig.

2. Stage Pole: The minimum ceiling height must be 11' to set up the stage pole. The footprint is about 6' x 6'. Ground must be level.
Aerial Hoop: If using aerial rig (Note there is an additional fee for the rig), minimum height required is approximately 15 feet, and the footprint is approximately 9' x 12'. Level ground is required below the rig.
