Pocket Combo 2024
Pocket Combo is a jazz quartet consisting of acoustic drum set, upright bass, electric piano, and alto/tenor saxophone. We play traditional jazz standards from jazz icons of the 50s, 60s, and 70s; featuring songs from jazz giants John Coltrane, Horace Silver, and Sonny Rollins. We are a great fit for a cocktail hour at a wedding, or for more intimate settings, such as wineries or coffee houses.

We will play a variety of jazz standards and original jazz compositions, ranging in length of 3-10 minutes. The standards we play are from jazz legends such as John Coltrane, Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, and more. We usually play standards similarly to how they were originally recorded, but we also will also experiment with the standards and arrange them in our own way. We intend to perform with a quartet consisting of drums, bass, piano and saxophone.
We perform 8-10 songs per set, each set lasting about one hour. We'll take a 10-15 minute break in between sets, then resume playing. We will perform 1-3 sets for a given performance.

We will bring all instruments (drums, bass, saxophone, and keyboard), audio equipment, cables, power strips, and additional music equipment. We ask that there is lighting provided on stage, and a minimum of 2-3 outlets near the stage for our amplifiers.
