Piper Wilkins was a wonderful addition to our celebration of life service. He responded quickly to all communications beforehand in a professional and sincere manner. He arrived early on the day of the service (two-hour drive to our location!), and his appearance and performance were outstanding. Afterwards, he stayed for lunch and conversed in a very friendly manner with the attendees. I've had many comments from friends and family in attendance about how happy they were with the bagpipes during the service and their interaction with Piper Wilkins. Highly recommend!!

Piper Wilkins is wonderful! Very respectful and kind. My grandfather greatly appreciated him playing at his wife’s funeral. He was so touched! He made everyone feel so comfortable. The music was absolutely perfect. He played Amazing Grace. Such a beautiful tune. We are so grateful!

What to expect
Somhairlè "Piper" Wilkins will clearly communicate as to what may be needed (maybe a tuning space) for the event and will discuss with the client any specific repertoire desired for the event. He will show up wearing full highland regalia befitting the dress code of the event. The Audience will hear in-tune pipes and, if appropriate, witty banter around the history of piping or kilts. The client will discuss tune selection, performance needs if appropriate (where to stand, what the cues are etc) and will have the satisfaction of a successful event with bagpipes.

About
I first fell in love with bagpipes as a young child attending Highland Games and Celtic Festivals. I have been playing bagpipes for over 10 years now. I started playing with local pipe bands and have competed both as a band member and as a soloist up and down the East Coast and overseas in Scotland. In this time I have performed many funerals, memorials, church services, birthday parties, conventions, retirements, Burns Supper, celebrations, and many a St. Patrick's day affair. I have even played as an alarm clock to a sleeping Batchelor after his night of revelry.
I look forward to making your event special with my love of this instrument and its music.
