Piper Dave responded immediately to my request for a piper to attend my parents’ interment. His previous reviews indicated how professional and caring he was, which contributed to my decision for contacting him. Piper Dave was affable, caring, and professional n all of our dealings. He asked many questions to ascertain my needs. He was prompt in replying and very open about what could be done. Piper Dave arrived promptly at the designated location. He was engaged throughout the ceremony and played beautifully. After the short ceremony he stayed to chat for a while and was very compassionate. His part in the ceremony was important to me and he contributed beautifully. I can’t thank him enough for the wonderful job he did. His piping helped to comfort my saddened heart. I would highly recommend Piper Dave and I would hire him again for any event.

Piper Dave brought something truly unforgettable to our father-in-laws Celebration of Life. The sound of the Scottish pipes added such a powerful, emotional, and beautiful touch to the day. He carried himself with warmth, professionalism, and genuine compassion during such an important and emotional time for our family. Piper Dave was absolutely brilliant. He guided me through planning my mom’s funeral with respect and kindness. Guests said his piping was epic and amazing! Very professional. Thank you Dave. You really made the day special.

We booked Dave to pipe in a Haggis for us on Robbie Burns Day at a Retirement Residence in Downtown Toronto. It was the day of the epic snow storm in Toronto, late January 2026, so the fact that he even make it was impressive. He was a hit from the moment he walked in. Dave was great with the residents, easy to work with, collaborative, talented, authentic, and most all, entertaining. Beyond piping in the Haggis, Dave led a few rounds of Scottish Trivia, taught us about his instrument and Scottish traditions, shared some personal stories, and took questions from the residents. I was sitting beside one of our residence's proudest Scots, the one who addressed the Haggis, and she was emotional at the end. She told me it was because she felt so happy. I can't recommend this guy enough. Thanks Piper Dave!

I called Dave with just a few days notice to play the pipes at my brothers memorial. He could not have been more helpful and cool.And he played so so beautifully. I wasn't sure exactly what we wanted or needed and with the most compassionate, clear sighted and calm way Dave delivered the moment around which they day revolved. He played a few traditional pieces mixed with the wild skirll and the deeply aching sound of the pipes. And for us he mixed in some Beatles just for my brother. It was heart stirring. He gave us the pause, the music and the emotional release. He arrived dressed in in the perfect outfit, a little more casual than the full regalia. He was calm, professional , he helped me trouble shoot the moment regarding timing and the venue. All this through email and with out a lot of time. This is a long overdue review for Dave who I can not thank enough for the way he received the request and created a real meaningful transcendent moment that held us all in our grief and love . Highly recommend. Have the pipes at ALL your family moments. (the review date is incorrect Dave played for us in the summer just past i couldn't fix it on the website)
