December 7, 2025Paul Bang's performance far exceeded our expectations. His repertoire perfectly matched the mood of the event (a holiday home tour for 500 guests). Everyone was so delighted with his performance, we asked Paul to add an hour to the next night's performance. We realized that asking a pianist of Paul's caliber to add an extra hour to a Friday night during the December holidays was a long-shot, but were delighted when he went the extra mile, and accommodated our request.
Paul interspersed traditional holiday tunes, with popular (current) hits, and standards from the 30s and 40s. The transitions were perfect!
Sometimes it's not about price, it's about value. Paul's performance gave us and our guests memories that we will value for a lifetime. We look forward to our next party, where Paul will certainly be performing!

Improvisation and medley.
While I can accommodate various genres of music, I would say those two things - improvisation and medley - are at the core of my piano playing. You can expect seamless transitions from one song to the other - one Adele song to the next, a Harry Potter soundtrack to a Star Wars theme - and you can expect me to really pay attention to the vibe of the audience.
Also, while I have a set list to give me general guidelines for the event, I do like to be flexible with the songs. I could play different songs if necessary, or I could even improvise a new melody.
With over 15 years of dedicated piano playing - from churches to weddings, from birthday parties to jazz bars - I am a seasoned musician with a profound love for creating captivating melodies and harmonies. Whether I am improvising over a tune, or playing in a band setting, my goal is always to build an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
I have experience with a wide range of genres, from wedding songs to Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), from pop songs to jazz tunes, from K-pop to soundtracks. By infusing my own style into different genres, I can make each music a unique experience.
I do have a keyboard - a Yamaha CK88 - if there is no piano/keyboard available at the venue. However, unless it is a relatively small event, please have a sound system/PA readily available.

I would say my style comes from a mix of film soundtrack, contemporary Christian music, New Age, and jazz. One of the first pieces of music that I fell in love with was Hedwig's Theme by John Williams, and ever since then, my interests have broadened to many different genres of music.
