April 1, 2026Pi Jacobs opens many of our Off The Page shows
We chose Pi Jacobs to open our shows for her beautiful voice, excellent guitar chops, and stellar lyrics. In addition to her talents, she is the consummate professional: on time, sets up and breaks down equipment, sound checks, and wows the crowds. Our Readers Theater audiences love her performances, and so do we.

What to expect
Live, Pi’s style blends roots-rock swagger and storytelling soul, that has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. Armed with an old Gibson guitar, her “sultry and explosive” (Glide) voice, and a homemade stomp box, she creates a show that is mesmerizing. In the words of San Luis Obispo’s New Times: “Jacobs' can be funny, poignant, and irreverent, but always personal. She might not heal you, but you'll forget your problems for a few hours”.
About
Pi Jacobs Bio:
Pi Jacobs draws inspiration from her unconventional upbringing in Northern California, where she was raised by “radical hippies, bohemians and nerds”. She is signed to LA’s Blackbird Record Label, and her new album, “Soldier On” is out now. Produced by Eric Corne (John Mayall,), The album features Pi’s long-time collaborators Buch Norton (Lucinda Williams) and Zack and Adam Hall (Billy Ray Cyrus).
