We effectively partner with venue staff, catering, event planners, sound engineers, photographers, videographers to help make every client's event vision come true!

We specialize in getting the crowd out on the dance floor with the best soul, R&B, funk, dance and party music from the past 50 years. We've been a Bethlehem Musikfest favorite for years, we performed at the opening of The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, we've opened for Jay Leno, Gin Blossoms, Stanley Jordan, our horn section performed with The Doors.

Truly delivering what many bands only promise, the Philadelphia Funk Authority prides itself on being able to provide the ultimate party and dance experience, regardless of venue.

We bring the party!

Philadelphia Funk Authority comes self-contained with a pro audio system and basic stage lighting adequate for most indoor performances and many outdoor events. For very large venues and festivals we also work well with sound companies, whether we provide backline or use theirs. We can adapt to most stage situations, but we prefer performance spaces to be at least 12' deep x 20' wide. We prefer two dedicated 15amp circuits.

When working with a sound company we will provide a stage plot and suggested input list.

If outdoor performance is requested, purchaser will provide a leak-proof tent or other coverage, ensuring that all equipment will remain dry under adverse weather conditions and protected from water runoff.
