Overview
I am Peter O'Malley, a 21-year-old cellist who has performed throughout the United States and Canada, currently studying at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings. Previously, I studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and I have performed with such esteemed artists as Ani Kavafian, Jaime Laredo, Gabriel Martins, and Brook Speltz. I began studying in Charleston, South Carolina, where I played for weddings and events, and taught privately at my home.

What to expect
Peter brings music for solo cello, string duo, trio, quartet, and quintet, at the highest level. With seven years of wedding and event experience, Peter has a vast repertoire of masterworks by Johann Sebastian Bach, including the complete six suites for solo cello, works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Mozart, and music from the 20th and 21st century, including hits by The Beatles, Queen, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder. With training from the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, Le Domaine Forget, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Peter's experiences have encompassed the United States and Canada.
About
Peter O’Malley, cellist, currently lives in Macon, GA and studies at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, with professors Hans Jørgen Jensen and Brannon Cho. He previously studied with Melissa Kraut at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he was the cellist of the Prinet Quartet. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Peter began playing for weddings and events in 2019.
As a chamber musician, Peter has been invited to perform on the Ovation Series of Chamber Music Charleston and the Fabian Series in Georgia, and has collaborated with Ani Kavafian, Jaime Laredo, Sharon Robinson, Anna Lee, Annie Fullard, Francisco Fullana, Gabriel Martins, and Brook Speltz. He has played in masterclasses for Midori, Clive Greensmith, Michael Stephen Brown, Xavier Foley, and Mihai Marica, and in private coachings with members of the Emerson, Orion, and Cavani quartets. He was a fellow at the Classical Music Institute in San Antonio, and has pursued summer studies at festivals including the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Meadowmount School of Music, and Le Domaine Forget.
