Peter Hi-Fi and Electric Blues
Overview
Blues, swing and roots with happy danceable guitar style.
BB King. Peggy Sue. Buddy Holly. Muddy Waters. Early rock n roll.
George Jones, Bob Wills and Stevie Ray.
I toured with some of the blues' best artists — Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Pinetop Perkins. We can be 3 or 4 pieces depending on the situation.
Great for dancing, drinking, indoor and outdoor house parties, fundraisers and dance classes. We're never too loud. We keep the show moving, songs never too long.
Wherever we go, people like us and invite us back. Call on Peter Hi-Fi Ward.

July 17, 2025Really enjoyed this band!!!
We had Peter Hi-Fi and Electric Blues at our nursing facility for a BBQ and they were the perfect band for the event. Really relaxed vibes, but also upbeat and fun. They were early for set up, very pleasant and positive. Our residents enjoyed this a lot, and we will absolutely be booking again!

What to expect
Peter HiFi & Electric Blues is reliable in every way.
We show up always on time, ready to perform under any conditions.
We're always in top form.
We mix fast and up-tempo swing numbers and gut-bucket blues that keeps the show going fast, and we know how to keep dancers on the floor.
About
Guitarist vocalist Peter "Hi-Fi" Ward knows blues and swing. In the 1980s he crisscrossed the U.S. and Canada with the Legendary Blues Band that had backed the Muddy Waters Band.
Born and raised in Maine, Peter moved to Massachusetts and backed a Who's Who of blues artists including Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Sunnyland Slim and Jimmy Rogers. He was married to the late Mai Cramer who had a blues program on WGBH radio. Peter produced a CD of western swing that featured the late steel guitarist Herb Remington, an original member of Bob Wills & his Texas Playboys. HIs debut solo blues CD, "Blues on My Shoulders," (2017) received terrific reviews. A new CD "Train to Key Biscayne" will be released in the Spring of 2019. It features Ronnie Earl, Johnny Nicholas, Sugar Ray Norcia, Michelle Willson and Anthony Geraci.
